ARM was responsible for the review of the initial feasibility of a composting and recycling project in Gaza, Palestine. ARM evaluated the technical feasibility and potential economic advantages of utilizing waste generated by Gaza city and selected agricultural residues in the proximity of the city for composting and recycling using appropriate technologies (SME).
Different sites were evaluated for the study. A comprehensive baseline study was carried out. An EIA was prepared for the selected site, describing the existing environment, the project, alternatives to the project, environmental and socio-economic impacts, mitigation measures, residual impacts and environmental monitoring plans.
